| Two local theater companies have holiday shows on their schedules this month. The Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre will present “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play,” on December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15 and The Music Box Dinner Playhouse will present “White Christmas: The Musical” on December 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Another great way to feel the holiday spirit is to join the Reading & Northern Railroad on one of its 80-minute Santa Claus train excursions, which will depart from Pittston on December 7, 8, 21, 22, 23 and 24. The rides will feature holiday music, toasty warm coaches, and of course, Ol’ St. Nick as your host. Non-holiday themed events happening this month include Daughtry at The F.M. Kirby Center on December 7 and Get The Led Out, a tribute to the mighty Led Zeppelin, at The Kirby on December 28. And the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be home at the Mohegan Arena on December 4, 11, 13, 14, 18, 21 and 27. And … you can now ice-skate on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre! The temporary ice-rink will remain open throughout the winter, and Visit Luzerne County is a proud sponsor. Enjoy! Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday season! Alan, Sarah, Gaye, Kyle and David
