On August 16, for the second straight year, the City of Wilkes-Barre will be hosting a free concert on Public Square with Starship, featuring Mickey Thomas. The band’s chart-toppers include the No. 1 hit “We Built This City,” the No. 1 hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” and the No. 1 smash, “Sara.” Select songs from the Jefferson Airplane catalog will also be performed, including “Somebody to Love.” Thomas also sang lead vocals on the Evelyn Bishop Group smash, “Fooled Around and Fell In Love,” which will also be performed.
