| Outstanding in the Field, a self-proclaimed roving restaurant without walls, is heading to Phoenix on October 10. Hosted by Visit Phoenix at the newly revitalized Abbey on Monroe, local James Beard Award-winning chef Rene Andrade will cook for one long table – only existing in that place for one singular moment. Andrade, joined by other notable Phoenix makers and farmers, will curate pairings of thoughtfully grown ingredients with handmade artistry. While traditional restaurants source ingredients for their menus, Outstanding in the Field has brought the kitchen right to the source since 1999 – aiming to reconnect diners to the land while celebrating the hardworking hands that feed us all.
