Vuori started with a simple idea - highlighting the beauty and essence of the California coast through comfortable and functional performance apparel. Since its humble beginnings out of a garage in Encinitas, CA, Vuori has brought a new perspective to the industry and created a space where big dreams are welcomed and celebrated. Working at Vuori, our goal is to create something special together.

Returns

What is the return window?
Vuori Return Policy provides a 120-days (4 months) return offer with a full refund. The purchased products should be returned within a period of 120-days.

Do I need a receipt to return an item?
Customers should have the original receipt. However, Vuori offers flexibility for returns without a receipt, subject to their return policy discretion. In such cases, you may be eligible for a refund or exchange based on the item's current selling price. Providing a valid, government-issued photo ID may be required.

Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Some items are marked as Final Sale, these items are usually purchased at a Vuori Warehouse Sale or other Alternative Retail. Final Sale items do not fall under our Investment in Happiness Policy. We do not accept Final Sale items for return, exchange, or store credit.

How will I receive my refund?
The refund will be made through the same method of payment through which the items were purchased. Once Vuori receives your returned item, it may take up to 10 business days to process the return and issue a refund. Once the item to be refunded is sent back to the team, they refund it in 3-5 business days.

Can I return online purchases in-store?
Absolutely! Visit any of our Vuori Retail Stores with your Customer PO / Order Number and we'll set you up with a refund back to the original method of payment.

Editor's Take

So here's the thing about Vuori-it's basically what happens when someone finally figures out that activewear doesn't have to look like you're perpetually on your way to CrossFit. Founded by Joe Kudla in 2015, this California-based brand has grown from humble garage beginnings in Encinitas to a company valued at over $5 billion. And honestly? That kind of trajectory makes sense when you actually wear the stuff.

The brand draws its name from the Finnish word for "mountain," which feels fitting for a company that's basically built its reputation on versatility. You know how you used to have gym clothes and then real clothes? Vuori said forget that. Their whole philosophy centers on pieces that transition seamlessly from your morning yoga class to lunch with friends to, well, pretty much anywhere that isn't a black-tie wedding. It's the athleisure dream, but executed with fabrics that actually feel premium-not that scratchy synthetic stuff that makes you sweat in all the wrong ways.

What really sets them apart is this obsessive focus on fabric technology. They've developed proprietary blends like DreamKnit and BlissBlend that somehow manage to be soft, stretchy, moisture-wicking, and durable all at once. The joggers, in particular, have achieved almost cult status. People genuinely debate Vuori versus Lululemon the way sports fans argue about their favorite teams.

But it's not just about the product. Vuori's "Investment in Happiness" philosophy guarantees that if you don't love the product, you can send it back. They're also Climate Neutral certified, which means they're measuring and offsetting their carbon footprint-something that matters more and more to consumers who want their purchasing decisions to align with their values.

With 40 stores across major US markets and products sold at Nordstrom, REI, and Equinox, they've managed to scale without losing that California-cool vibe. The stores themselves feel less like retail spaces and more like wellness hubs where you'd actually want to hang out.

And here's something interesting: while most activewear brands target women first, Vuori started with men's apparel. Kudla noticed that women had endless options for stylish workout-to-street wear, but guys were stuck with baggy basketball shorts or compression tights with nowhere in between. That gap in the market? Turns out it was worth billions.

The brand's growth has been pretty strategic too. After a $400 million investment from SoftBank in 2021 at a $4 billion valuation, they raised another $825 million in 2024, pushing their valuation even higher. But unlike some startups that burn through cash, Vuori actually operated lean in the early days-just $2 million borrowed in the first two years, which is remarkably disciplined for an apparel company.

Whether you're into the whole coastal California lifestyle thing or just want pants that don't make you choose between comfort and looking put-together, Vuori's carved out a pretty compelling niche. They've basically proven that performance apparel can be an everyday uniform, not just workout gear.
