Returns
What is the return window?
Any products purchased from the website can be returned or exchanged for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Pre-ordered products can be returned or exchanged for a full refund within 14 days of delivery.
Are there any items that are non-returnable?
Items must have their tags still attached in the correct locations. Items returned without these tags against policy will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. All items returned for a refund or exchange need to be new, unused, in its original packaging and with every original tag still hanging in the correct location. Each return is opened and thoroughly checked by the inbound team and any item deemed as unfit to be restocked will be quarantined.
How will I receive my refund?
Refunds are issued to the debit or credit card used at checkout and will be processed within 3-5 business days. Once the item is accepted at the warehouse and refunded, it can take your financial institution up to 3-7 business days to post the refund back to your account.
Who pays for return shipping?
For returns, WANDRD provides a discount with the carrier to get the best price for the return label. This price isn't charged extra; it's simply taken out of your full refund once the return is approved. For exchanges, they cover the inbound shipping back to them, but ask that you cover the outbound shipping for the new item.
How do returns work for gift recipients?
All returned items need to be identified and linked to an order number and a buyer. If you've received the product as a gift, reach out to your friend/relative and ask for the order number. By default, they will refund the corresponding amount to the original method of payment used to place the order. If you'd prefer to have store credit in this case, you can select that as an option in the returns form.
Editor's Take
So here's the thing about WANDRD-it's basically what happens when two brothers get fed up with mediocre camera bags and decide to do something about it. And I mean really fed up. Ryan and Spencer Cope were sitting in their parents' kitchen back in 2015, complaining about how every camera bag they'd tried either looked terrible or functioned terribly. Classic photographer problem, right?
But instead of just whining about it (like most of us would), they actually went and created their own solution. Started the whole thing on Kickstarter with their PRVKE bag, raised over $110,000, and then realized-oops-they actually owed $10,000 more than they'd raised after ordering inventory. Talk about learning on the fly.
What makes WANDRD different isn't just the bags themselves, though those are legitimately impressive. It's the whole philosophy behind them. These guys aren't trying to be the next massive outdoor brand with shareholders breathing down their necks. They're still family-owned, still crowdfunding new products, and they've delivered to over 100 countries without losing that scrappy startup energy. The company name itself came from wanting to call it "wandered" but not having $20,000 for the domain, so they just dropped a couple vowels and called it a day. That's the kind of practical problem-solving that runs through everything they do.
The PRVKE backpack-their flagship product-has this roll-top design that actually makes sense. You know how most camera bags make you choose between protecting your gear and having room for anything else? WANDRD said "why not both?" with a removable camera cube system. When you need it for photography, it's there. When you're just traveling and want more space, pull it out. Simple concept, but executed really well with weather-resistant materials and this clever back-panel access that keeps pickpockets from getting into your main compartment.
And they've got this lifetime warranty that's actually a lifetime warranty-not the fake "lifetime means five years" nonsense some companies pull. They've replaced bags that people have used for 7+ years when zippers finally gave out. That's the kind of thing that builds serious customer loyalty.
The product line has expanded beyond just the PRVKE now. They've got the ROGUE sling bags (3L, 4L, 6L, 9L options), the STRATUS Photo backpack, TRANSIT travel series, and all these accessories like tech pouches and toiletry bags. Everything's designed with that same photographer-traveler-creator mindset. Not trying to be everything to everyone, just really good at what they do.
One thing that stands out in customer reviews-and there are a lot of them-is how fast their customer service responds. People are talking about getting warranty replacements approved within hours, not days. For a small team of around 18 employees, that's pretty remarkable. They don't outsource their support, which you can tell when you actually interact with them.
The bags aren't cheap-the PRVKE runs $219-$259 depending on size-but when you factor in that lifetime warranty and the build quality, it's kind of a buy-it-for-life situation. Plus they've got this "Venture On" program now where they sell pre-owned bags at discounted prices, which is both environmentally smart and wallet-friendly.
