My game-changing trick for stress-free news updates

Hey beautiful,

Lately, the news cycle has felt overwhelming. It’s loud, constant, and often designed to stir up anxiety. I know I’m not alone in feeling like my nervous system can only take so much.
That’s why I’ve been making a conscious effort to turn down the noise. Less time glued to the news, more time with community, family, and the things that actually bring me peace.
 
At the same time, I still want to stay informed. Here’s what I’ve been doing, step by step, to get the facts without the stress:
  1. I open ChatGPT and ask it for 3–4 daily news updates.
  2. Just give me the facts, no spin.
  3. I also ask for a note on why the news matters, so I can keep perspective without doom-scrolling.
  4. I read those quick updates once a day instead of checking the headlines nonstop.
This small shift has been huge for me. I’m informed, but I’m not constantly pulled into the chaos. My energy feels steadier, and I can put my attention where it really matters: being present with the people I love and with all of you in this community.
