Before we get too deep into Father's Day, I wanted to talk about my other favorite spring holiday: BLT season.
I assume your local farmer's market, co-op, specialty store, or favorite produce cart is brimming with the bounty of your local spring harvest. For us that means ramps, asparagus, strawberries... Soon enough we'll see the fun, funky, delicious heirloom tomatoes at the market. Grab some, find a fancy lettuce to go with it, and leave the baconto us.
My second favorite sandwich in the whole world (the Reuben will forever be #1) is the BLT.
It's meaty, savory, cool, creamy, fresh and clean. You can eat them all year long—I certainly do, sometimes for dinner—but now is the time where all the ingredients are in peak flavor.
This box sets up the recipient with everything they'll need to make more than a few BLTs. You won't see any tomatoes, lettuce, or mayo in this box. I figure you can procure your own produce and you probably have a jar of mayo already, so this box has the other most important ingredients: bread and bacon.
