It's an average winter morning. The kind that makes you pull your sleeves over your hands.

The driveway is cold. The air feels sharp. Everyone’s moving fast to get started.

Frannie is a tiny long-haired chihuahua with a very big daily mission: wait for the mail truck to say hello to her person like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened.

Not “sometimes.” Not “when she feels like it.”

The wiggles start first.

Nobody knows why, exactly, Frannie loves Dan so much. He didn't bring her treats or spend extra time with pets. For Frannie, it almost seemed love at first sight.

At first it was comical - a dog who loves the mail carrier? 

But then her family saw how much joy it really brought the pup. How punctual she was waiting. 

Her family started filming it - because honestly, you’d film it too. It was too pure not to capture.

And then something really sweet happened.

People began watching.

And sharing.

And commenting.

A reminder to the person going through chemo that day.

A reminder to someone grieving.

A reminder to a tired parent running on broken sleep.

A reminder to anyone who felt like the world was heavy:

Somewhere out there, a tiny dog is having the best moment of her day… just because a human showed up.

It got so loved that fans even wanted to send Dan holiday cards - because Frannie’s daily hello didn’t just brighten his route… it brightened a whole lot of people who weren’t even in that driveway.

And that’s the theme we’re taking into the New Year:

Not always fireworks.

Not always a heroic moment.

Sometimes it’s just… showing up.

It’s your dog waiting by the door when they hear your keys.

It’s your cat following you from room to room like a tiny supervisor.
