Step One: Gas or Electric?
• Gas? You'll need a single starting battery, just like a car.
• Electric? You'll probably need a set of batteries, usually 36V or 48V worth, depending on your cart.
Step Two: Voltage Knowledge
• Electric carts usually run on 36V or 48V. The batteries come in 6V, 8V, or 12V sizes, meaning you'll need four to six batteries for most setups.
• Not sure what you've got? Check your owner's manual. Or, count the caps on your current batteries (3 = 6V, 4 = 8V, 6 = 12V), multiply that by the number of batteries in your cart, and you've got your voltage. Now we're mathing.

Step Three: Amps = Endurance
• Think of voltage as your cart’s starting line; it tells you what system you’re working with. But if you’re wondering how long your ride will last, check the amperage. More Amp Hours means more time on the move and fewer interruptions to plug in. It’s a simple swap for more fun.
Step Four: Size
• Most carts use the standard GC2 battery size, but some may need a different fit. Measure up and make sure everything lines up before you buy.
Step Five: Batteries Need Love Too
• No matter what kind you’ve got under the seat, cart batteries need a little TLC. AGM batteries are sealed and spill-proof, nice and easy. Flooded batteries?
