We’re thrilled to announce that Chicago has earned the title of Best Big City in the U.S. for a historic ninth consecutive year—proving once again why we’re the city that’s Never Done and Never Outdone. 

This prestigious honor is the result of more than 750,000 votes cast by Condé Nast Traveler readers during the Readers’ Choice Awards, the travel industry’s longest-running and most distinguished awards program. 

In the 38-year history of the awards, Chicago is the only city to win Best Big City in the U.S. more than three consecutive times; a true testament to all the Chicagoans who make our city a welcoming, vibrant, and dynamic place to live, work, and visit.
