oil to milk vs. milky-soft: what's the difference?

alt

Hi there!

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about two of our cleansers that both happen to have the word “milk” on the packaging — and while the names sound similar, they’re actually very different products.

So let’s break it down.

First up: Oil to Milk Cleansing Balm.

This is an oil-based cleansing balm. It starts off rich and oily, melts into the skin, and turns milky once you add water. You apply it to dry skin, massage, then rinse. After cleansing, you’ll still feel a bit of cushion left behind. Some people absolutely love that nourishing after-feel — others don’t.

When we looked around our product development team, we realized that one person (Priscilla!) still swears by Oil to Milk and uses it constantly but many others wanted a cleanser that actually lathers and doesn’t leave that cushioned feeling behind.

That’s where Milky-Soft Face and Body Cleanser comes in.

Milky Soft is a water-based cleanser, not oil-forward at all. We paired that blend with saccharides, glycerin and ceramides to boost comfort and hydration, so skin feels clean, calm, and noticeably soft — with no film left behind.

So here’s the key difference:
They’re not replacements for each other — they’re just two very different products for different preferences and routines.

As always, if you have questions or want help choosing what’s right for you, we’re here!
