Celebrate the season with a timeless Columbus tradition as The Nutcracker returns to the Ohio Theatre from December 11 to 27. Follow Clara, the Nutcracker Prince and a cast of magical characters through twinkling snow scenes and the Land of Sweets, all set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score. It’s a heartwarming holiday outing for the whole family.

Taking place each Friday and Saturday through December 20, Wander Nights brings together an ultra-festive holiday atmosphere, free activities and the chance to explore all three Wanderlights stops. Discover something new this season at VergeFest 2025, a free mini-festival on Saturday, December 13. This year’s event highlights 10 emerging Columbus artists from Music Columbus’ Better Together Music Incubator, a program that helps local musicians grow creatively and professionally over several months. With genres ranging from R&B and soul to pop, folk and indie rock, VergeFest is a great way to enjoy fresh sounds at two of Columbus’ most iconic music spots, A&R Music Bar and The Basement.

Celebrate the season at Holiday Bricktacular, Columbus’ favorite family holiday event at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center, happening daily through December 27. Enjoy festive activities, wintry décor and plenty of hands-on fun for kids of all ages, including exploring the MINILAND® Winter Wonderland, snapping holiday photo ops, meeting LEGO characters and, of course, shopping for the perfect LEGO gifts. Note: activities and character meet-and-greets vary by day.

Winter has officially arrived (so bundle up this weekend), and that means hockey season is in full swing. This Saturday, December 13, the Columbus Blue Jackets take on the Vegas Golden Knights at 7 p.m. As part of Nationwide Arena's 25th anniversary celebrations, the game will include special appearances by former Blue Jackets players and a collectible card giveaway while supplies last.
