Stroll the Short North Arts District and experience new January exhibitions, dynamic visual art from local and national artists, live performances and public art, alongside locally owned shops, restaurants and bars lining High Street. This Friday, January 2, enter the Upside Down at Club Hawkins for an '80s-themed dance night at Skully’s Music Diner. Widely regarded as Columbus’ #1 dance club and best mid-sized venue, Skully’s has delivered top-tier entertainment, music and drinks to the city for more than 20 years. At Club Hawkins, expect throwback hits from Kate Bush, A-ha, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Duran Duran, Talking Heads, Metallica and more. Please note that this event is for ages 18+; guests under 21 pay an additional $5 cash gratuity at the door.

Experience the magic of Candlelight: Tribute to Queen and More on Sunday evening, January 4, at the Columbus Museum of Art, featuring music by Queen performed by the Listeso String Quartet under a warm glow of candlelight. Please note that doors open 45 minutes before the show and no entry is permitted once the show starts.

The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, January 3, at 3 p.m. in the first of two games this weekend at Nationwide Arena. That’s not the only hockey happening in Columbus, however. If you can’t make it to the Arena District, check out the Ohio State men's hockey team vs. Bowling Green at the Schottenstein Center on Friday, January 2, or the Ohio State women's hockey team vs. Penn State on January 2-3 at the OSU Ice Rink.
