This year, Columbus is celebrating Stine and his latest Goosebumps book with a special author talk on Oct. 23, dozens of spine-tingling things to do and Halloween events all October long. From haunted brews at themed bars to eerie scavenger hunts, Columbus is crawling with thrills and chills this spooky season.

Celebrate 25 years of Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey on Friday, October 3, as the Columbus Blue Jackets host an anniversary concert at KEMBA Live! headlined by the platinum-certified band, O.A.R., which has deep ties to Columbus and are huge fans of the Blue Jackets. The event will also include a chance to see the 2025-26 Blue Jacket team!

On October 4-5, the 10th annual Columbus Coffee Festival returns to the Franklin County Fairgrounds and is set to feature 40+ coffee roasters, vendors and tea vendors from all over Ohio and the surrounding states! Attendees can choose from a variety of ticket options, and all attendees will receive a commemorative mug they can use to sample from the coffee & tea vendors on-site.

Country star Parker McCollum brings his authentic sound and chart-topping hits to the Schottenstein Center this Friday, October 3, alongside special guests Ashley Cooke and Hudson Westbrook. This Sunday, October 5, O.A.R. will host their Crazy Game of Hockey Celebrity Game at the OhioHealth Ice Haus. Watch celebrities from music and entertainment, NHL athletes – including former Blue Jackets Rick Nash, Jody Shelley, R.J. Umberger and more – and trick shot pioneers face off on the ice for a great cause. Doors are scheduled to open at 12:30 p.m. with the puck dropping at 1:30 p.m. This is a game of hockey like no other and is perfect for fans of all ages. The event will also include fan activities, in-game entertainment and performances with proceeds benefitting The John and Matthew Gaudreau Foundation.
