A new routes interface and enhanced routing tools have been added to Garmin Pilot Web — making it easier than ever to compare, sort and plan flight routes on your computer. See how simple we’ve made it to select the optimum route to your destination while also having the flexibility of the new “rubber band” route changes feature right on the map.
The new graphical route display lets you easily compare routing options by hovering your cursor over listed routes for your trip. You can also sort these route options by altitude, distance, time en route or fuel required. Then, select the option that best fits your priorities.
With this new route editing feature, you’ll be able to drag and drop your route line around on the map to instantly redraw flight plan legs. As you’re using this “rubber banding” capability, a pop-up menu will indicate the closest waypoint or airport to the route line you’ve created on the map. It’s never been easier to adjust your flight plan on the fly.
With a premium Garmin Pilot Web subscription, you’ll have even more ways to configure routing preferences. Choose route types, or select preferred routings by altitude. You can also filter out route types you don’t want to use — such as SIDS, STARs and TEC routes.
With Garmin Pilot Web, many great features are available free to all pilots. But if you want a seamless, synced web-to-mobile experience, a Garmin Pilot subscription is the way to go. Don’t have a subscription? Get a 30-day free trial to Garmin Pilot Premium by signing up today!
