Once a booming copper town, Ajo, Arizona, now serves as the gateway to Organ Pipe National Monument and hundreds of miles of desert roads that call to explorers and riders alike.

Earlier this year, Gravel Hall of Famer Yuri Hauswald embarked on a 145-mile bikepacking route that winds through this remarkable region—home to towering saguaros, volcanic landscapes, and one of the most biodiverse deserts in the world.
