A day in Connecticut 🌸

Last Saturday we met our friend Jennifer Alfano, of The Flair Index & Jennifer Alfano Jewelry, in New Preston, Connecticut for The Ticking Tent. The weather felt like early August with extreme heat and then a major storm, however it was worth braving the elements for this particular event. The top row of my collage features photos of Curio Shop, which was one of my favorites of the day. Every booth was chic, however, as the organizers did a beautiful job.

Jennifer is wearing Jennifer Alfano Jewelry and carrying her Emote World Hand Knit Tote Bag. Emote World was recently founded by our friend Ryan Lobo who was the cofounder of the sustainable brand TOME. Leandra Medine has Ryan's olive green cardigan coat. I plan this to my own wardrobe soon. I think it is difficult to find the right green, and this particular shade is a good one. He will have classic coats in timeless shades of camel and brown arriving this fall, and his summer collection feels so fresh and modern.

We can't get enough of this shop. Jennifer and I stopped by Plain Goods in New Preston which has the most beautiful selection of classic, well made pieces. It is a great place to shop for yourself or to pick up gifts, especially for men and children. I also love their selection for home and their vintage fabric.

Italian Summer: Our Latest Inspiration Board. I recently spoke with senior design students at Marist University, and a student mentioned that she has been following me on IG and looks forward to seeing my mood boards. That was such a sweet compliment, and we enjoy sharing our inspiration behind the collection.
