A few updates: Our new straw bag collection is expected to arrive next week. We are especially proud of this collection and feel that it is our strongest yet. I'm also looking forward to a Mother's Day Sales Event with Covet by Christos on 4/24 at 12:30 PST, 3:30 EST. This is a live event with Christos and myself on IG. Although I'm terrified to be on camera, it should still be lots of fun. Finally, we will be launching a new brand this fall. We will continue with Heidi Wynne, but this new venture will be a more serious endeavor, with an emphasis on wholesale partnerships and a stronger digital marketing strategy. As a founder, I had to take a hard look at my strengths and weaknesses before starting something new, and decided to make some critical improvements. The first step was to hire an organizational coach, Neatly by Kristen. While I have always been big on coaching and self-improvement, she exceeded expectations. Kristen splits her time between the city (NYC) and upstate (Woodstock). If you are in either location and have a need to get organized, I would be happy to put you in touch. In addition to being incredibly efficient, Kristen is one of the loveliest human being I have ever had the pleasure to know. Last week on Wynne’s World, I mentioned that I’ve been listening to the Aspire podcast with Emma Grede, and this week I started her book Start With Yourself: A New Vision for Work & Life. There’s been a lot of discussion around her advice online, but I find myself appreciating how direct she is. Building a brand is not easy, and at a certain point it requires a real level of grit and perseverance. You have to believe in what you’re creating, but just as importantly, you have to believe in yourself. Her perspective on finance, ambition, and work ethic feels thoughtful and genuinely useful, especially when you’re building something of your own. We hope you can join us in Alexandria, Saturday the 18th and also on IG with Christos next Friday the 24th at 12:30 PST, 3:30 EST. Have a wonderful weekend! xo, Heidi |
