Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Getting to know my customers has been the most meaningful part of building a small brand, and I am truly grateful for each of you. I read your feedback closely and do my best to respond to it, always with the intention of offering pieces that feel timeless and classic. It has been incredibly rewarding, and like any business, not without its challenges.
One area I have found more difficult to navigate is the world of influencer marketing. I have been fortunate to have close friends, many of whom are former fashion editors and creators, who have supported the brand. Over time, others have discovered Heidi Wynne organically and have become part of that circle as well. Still, I have not always had the confidence to actively pursue that channel, even though it is clearly an important part of growing a brand today. Many of you reading this may have found me through someone you follow and trust, which I never take for granted.
As I start something new, I’m learning that I need to get more comfortable putting a brand out into the world in a bigger way.
The Heidi Wynne brand will continue, but I will also be launching something new this fall, a collection I have been developing since last summer. Around that time, I came down with Lyme disease, which forced me to slow down in a way I had not experienced before. There were weeks when I needed to rest for most of the day, working from bed and living almost entirely in pajamas. What was a difficult period also brought clarity. I wanted to feel comfortable and safe with natural, organic fibers against my body while I was trying to recover and heal.
From that experience, Kingston Mercer was born. The name is now officially trademarked, and the first round of samples just arrived. The collection will feature soft, organic cotton pajamas, organic cashmere wraps and loungewear. I am also fortunate to be working with a business partner who brings strong relationships with major retailers, and we are building toward a launch later this year. I look forward to sharing it with you!
In the meantime, I have been learning more about the influencer and affiliate world as a way to support this next chapter. A close friend, Heather Clawson, had suggested that I incorporate shopping links into Wynne’s World, and recently introduced me to the platform ShopMy. You will begin to see those links included here, on my IG & Substack and on the Wynne's World section of my site. While my intention is not to shift into being an influencer, I may receive a small commission if you choose to shop through them. My main intent is to better understand how I can launch Kingston Mercer with enough influencer support to make it a lasting success.
Thank you again, and if you made it this far, you definitely deserve a reward. Please enjoy 20% off with code THANKYOU until Monday, April 6th at midnight PST. Happy Spring! xoxo, Heidi
