Happy Easter !
I was re-reading what I wrote this time last year and I guess I'm feeling the same way again... uncertain and a little shaky. Every morning I read the news in disbelief and it's really hard sometimes to see blue sky. And that's why I need to keep hearing the Easter message: hope, surviving adversity and ultimately arriving in a better place.
I look at our beautiful children and through their eyes, I really do see hope- an exciting life to live and a world to be explored. My husband and I are so enjoying viewing things from their perspective....as ours right now is a little jaded.
I am also taking pleasure in the small things- the buds of Spring in the garden, a perfect cup of tea, a beautiful coaster to put it on, a pretty trinket dish. Small details that I can control give me pleasure. I am grateful for that.
And gathering with friends and loved ones is personally giving me a lot of comfort- and that's also where the details matter to me...a lovely glass of wine, yummy food and a beautifully set table ground me and keep me present.
I know everything will be OK- I have faith and as long as we are safe and healthy, we are blessed. The sun will come up again tomorrow!
