My dad was a veteran. He did a term in the Marines and 2 terms in the Army where he was a tank commander stationed on the border of North and South Korea. He would have continued to serve but he was honorably discharged after a severe car crash on his way to Fort Knox that left him blind, unable to walk and missing a 1/3 of his brain. My grandparents took care of us both, after that. The military was his life. He lived, eat and breathed it. He was a true warrior for the US and I miss him dearly. Life is just too short. If you have a veteran that's a family member, give them a big hug and thank you. Buy them a dinner and a coffee. They deserve every bit of it. Today, we honor all our veterans, especially the ones in our Lifeboost family! If you are a veteran, write in and tell us your story. We truly value your strength and sacrifice. |
