Hi there, February is Black History Month which is the perfect time to honor Black leaders, communities, and organizations driving meaningful change. At LOLA, that means supporting the people doing the work to advance period equity, today and every day. We’re proud to partner with Happy Period, a Black-founded, Los Angeles based nonprofit providing menstrual products, education, and dignity to people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. Their work addresses urgent needs while advocating for long-term access to period care, especially for Black women and underserved communities. Bringing the partnership to life
On February 19, we’re hosting an in-person event in Los Angeles with Happy Period and the USC community. The evening will feature a panel discussion on period equity, followed by a hands-on period-packing party supporting local advocates and students.
