Would you like to help The Met understand family visitors like you?
Over the next few months, The Met will be conducting research with kids ages 7–12 for a forthcoming gallery reinstallation. This email is a call for interest for those who would like to participate!

If you are a parent or legal guardian to a child age 7–12, please continue reading to learn more:

What is it?

A photography scavenger hunt in our galleries, followed by a short interview. Participation will take no more than one hour total. You (the legal guardian) must accompany your child on-site for the entire duration of the study.

Why is The Met doing this?

We want to hear from our young audiences! Children experience the Museum in their own unique way, bringing specific knowledge, curiosities, and perspectives. We want to know how our galleries can better support family groups like yours!

Who is eligible to participate?

Groups must consist of one child (age 7–12) and their legal guardian. You and your child must reside in the New York Metro Area and be comfortable speaking, reading, and writing in English. You do not need to be familiar with art, art history, or the Museum's exhibitions!

Will we be compensated?

Yes! You will receive one Amazon gift card, and your child will receive a small gift bag of fun prizes. Your group will also receive free admission to the Museum that day.

If you are selected to participate, you will receive an email from the research team ([email protected]) with further scheduling information.

Linked here is a PDF with more information. Please email the research team at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
