...Summer is the anniversary of the first lunar landing on July 20, 1969.
...It’s when we opened our doors in 1976, with President Gerald Ford and Apollo 11 astronaut (and first Museum director) Michael Collins on hand to cut the ribbon.
...And this summer (on July 28—
less than two weeks from today!) we will unveil more transformed galleries and exhibition spaces in our flagship building, including the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater and our sweeping grand entrance on the National Mall.
