PFAS are a large group of synthetic “forever chemicals” used to repel water, stains and oil. They don’t easily break down, so they build up in our environment and bodies over time.
Many conventional mattresses use PFAS as part of waterproofing, fabric treatments, fire barriers or adhesives. That means something designed for sleep can become a source of exposure.

Instead of relying on PFAS in our mattress designs, we use safer material innovations like PE waterproofing made from non-GMO sugarcane – and we don’t use flame retardants or adhesives, ever.
“Achieving an Environmental Claim Validation for non-detectable PFAS from UL Solutions demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and transparency in manufacturing.”
