HISTORY

Our story begins in 1959, when Pasquale Natuzzi established a tiny artisanal workshop in the heart of Puglia, Italy. “We had a second-hand sewing machine, a hammer and four scissors”, enough to make the first sofas. Most importantly, he had a vision, simple but powerful: to create pieces that exemplify quality and everlasting craftsmanship.

In 1982, a visit to Macy’s department store in New York marked a turning point. Pasquale Natuzzi persuaded a buyer to try out his products and sparked his revolution - reimagining the sofa as a versatile, colorful everyday essential. He created the jeans of the sofa world, and with it, the Natuzzi style was born.

For over 65 years, Natuzzi has shaped comfort through fluid forms and organic design. Since 2010, collaborations with renowned designers have breathed new life into our heritage, giving rise to award-winning creations rooted in timeless elegance. The Memoria Project, crafted with Karim Rashid, stands as a luminous example.
