How To safely Jack Up your vehicle, Knowing how to safely lift and support your vehicle will allow you to perform many other DIY jobs, like changing your oil, brakes or rotating your tires..

Step 1, Park on a solid, level surface to keep the vehicle stable.

Step 2, Make sure your lift equipment can safely handle your vehicle’s weight.

Step 3, Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels to prevent rolling.

Step 4A, Use the correct front lift points and raise the car slowly. Set your stand or stands underneath at the locations specified by the manufacturer.

Step 4B, Position the jack at the rear lift points and lift evenly. Set your stand or stands underneath at the locations specified by the manufacturer.

Step 5, Carefully lower your floor jack so that the vehicle rests on the stands. Before getting underneath the vehicle or continuing to work, test the stability of the stands by pushing gently on the vehicle from different angles.
