Play for a Cause: Cleats Out for Elora Charity Tournament

Join CASA Soccer League for a special day of soccer with purpose. On Sunday, December 7th, the Cleats Out for Elora Charity Tournament kicks off at the Temple Indoor Sports Complex, bringing players together to support the Elora J. Khan Foundation in the fight against DIPG brain cancer.

This 5v5 tournament is open to all who want to play for something bigger than the scoreboard. Each team will compete in at least three 25-minute games, with tournament shirts provided for every squad. Registration starts at $300 per team (early bird) or $50 for free agents, and proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Elora J. Khan Foundation.

And making a special appearance, Phang, the Philadelphia Union’s mascot, will be there to cheer everyone on!

The Elora J. Khan Foundation was created in memory of Elora Joyce Khan, the daughter of long-time CASA player Anthony Khan. Elora was a bright, joyful seven-year-old whose laughter filled every room. In September 2023, she passed away just seven months after being diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), one of the most aggressive pediatric brain cancers.

This tournament honors Elora’s memory and raises funds to help “kick out” DIPG by giving back to families in need and aiding in the research for a cure.
