Morning Sabah People, A shipment of Porto and Lido Sandals just landed from our workshop in Tavullia, Italy. We've made just 300 more pairs -- our final restock until next Spring!
We've been wearing our Portos and Lidos into the Fall season on those days that start chilly and then warm up; most recently in London with Frankie Collins, a friend and travel communications specialist who styled the Portos just how we imagined this Fall.
The Lido - our slide - also makes for a great pair of house shoes... just saying. Sincerely, The Sabah Dealer --
| | What's better than a crisp Fall morning in Marylebone with Frankie Collins? A real ray of sunshine, Frankie is an ideal friend to meet for an early coffee in the neighborhood. She recently showed us some of her favorite spots (we share many!) after catching up on the latest FT and Yolo Journal issues at our beloved corner newsstand––Shreeji on Chiltern Street. Frankie is a travel communications specialist whose sweet spot is where music, adventure and luxury travel meet. With clients including Six Senses and Experimental Hotels, the Portos are perfect for her warm weather travels and Fall days in London. Want to learn more about Frankie’s insider tips and local places? Read on for our conversation.
| | Hey Frankie! How did you make your way to London? "I grew up in a tiny village in the Kent countryside, and moved to London after a stint in Australia. It’s been home for about seven years now!" What do you find unique about London's creative scene? "London is a mash-up of cultures, ideas, and subcultures. The energy is constantly shifting here. I love that creativity isn’t just in galleries or studios; it’s in the way people dress, the food scene, the nightlife. There’s a sense that you’ve only ever uncovered a fraction of it." | | What are your favorite places in the neighborhood? "Being based in Marylebone has its perks! I can grab coffee at Monocle Café, dinner at Josephine, pop into St. JOHN Bread & Wine, and Paul Rothe & Son is a neighborhood institution. For an after-work aperitivo, I love The ItaliansWine Bar on Devonshire Street." | | How do you get dressed to feel like yourself every day? "My golden rule is always earrings––they make me feel put together even with zero makeup. I’m big on denim, so that’s usually my base, and I’ll layer with something that feels elevated but comfortable." Where to next? "I’m in the midst of planning a trip to Thailand with work but I’m tagging on a weekend to spend with best friend who lives in Hong Kong." | | Thanks for inspiring us, Frankie! | | I'm flying to London next week to host our Fall Soirée at our Sabah House on Chiltern Street. I hope to see you there for a margarita & tropical tunes by our friend, Georgie Hume. | | | | |
