When did you start stamping? I’ve been doing some form of papercrafting for well over 25 years, but really got into card making about 8 years ago. The use of stamping platforms, clear stamps, and dies were real game-changers for me. What is one way stamping brings you joy? Stamping brings me joy in that I can be creative, connect with others, and share my creations to hopefully bring a smile to others. I love sending cards out to my friends and grandchildren on every holiday.
How long have you been a fan of TE? I was introduced to Taylored Expressions by a good friend who lives in Iowa. We were crafting at her house, and she was sharing all the ideas and products she had brought back from an early Stamp Joy (held in Ankeny). I was impressed by the quality and variety of products, promptly placed an order, and have been a fan ever since. How does TE empower you in your crafting journey? TE empowers me because within the TE Community (both online and in real life) I’ve experienced nothing but positivity, creativity, and encouragement. I’ve been inspired to try new techniques, take artistic risks, and incorporate new products in my stamping. I’d like to thank TE for the Connect with Community project you initiated two years ago. The group I was paired with has led to 3 “real world” friendships, women I wouldn’t have otherwise met. We get together as a group every few months, and on an individual basis more frequently. I couldn’t ask for a more positive, empowering group to be a part of.
What is your mantra for life (or stamping)? I guess my mantra for stamping (and life) is what I always used to tell my elementary students. Everyone is good at something, and we all need to work on something. Find your special talent and have fun.
