It's an exciting day here at The Pi Hut - our friends at Raspberry Pi just announced the Raspberry Pi Pico 2 - the latest board in the Pico series featuring the new RP2350 microcontroller with significant performance and feature improvements!

Compared to the original Raspberry Pi Pico, Raspberry Pi Pico 2 offers a higher core clock speed, double the on-chip SRAM, double the on-board flash memory, more powerful Arm cores, optional RISC-V cores, new security features, and upgraded interfacing capabilities!

Pre-order is now open, with shipping expected to start the week commencing 19th August.

Raspberry Pi Pico 2 uses the same form factor and is software-compatible with the original Raspberry Pi Pico, with the same GPIO pinout and micro-USB connector for power and programming, meaning our huge existing catalogue of Pico accessories is compatible.

Whilst the colour-coded headers (above) are our go-to with our Picos, sometimes you need a different setup for stacking add-ons or doing other weird and wonderful things. We've got you covered!

We stock a stacking header set which will allow you to plug the Pico into a breadboard and access the pins from the top at the same time.
