Bicentennial Highway 95: A Historic Utah Road Trip
Ready to load up the car in pursuit of some of Utah’s most stunning and faraway landscapes? One of the state’s most remote stretches of highway is State Route 95 (SR-95), which covers 126 miles between Hanksville and Blanding. Winding through miles of epic canyons and towering rock formations, the route includes Natural Bridges National Monument and passes through sections of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Bears Ears National Monument.
When the late-afternoon sun hits the crimson cliffs of Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, nestled in the northeast corner of Utah, they are illuminated with other-worldly color you have to see to believe.
