This is the time of year when I naturally slip into hibernation mode—which really just means I want to be as cozy as possible. But there’s something about that stillness, about giving yourself permission to pause, that gently pulls me back into an artist’s mindset. We’re so constantly flooded with images and information that it’s often in the quiet moments—when we’re more intentional about what we take in—that we start to notice the small details again. Lately, I’ve been finding my way back to painting—playing with color outside of what I do for my brand. In a funny way, it always ends up informing my work here too. It brings me back to my most authentic self. And in the middle of all of that, I’m also savoring a little extra time at home with my family. These are a few of the things keeping me company this season. Avec Amour, Violette
| | As our lip collection has grown, I’ve loved mixing, matching, and rediscovering old favorites. Bisou Balm always finds its way back into my routine—but even at home, sometimes I want a bit more depth to shift my mood. That’s where Plume Lip comes in. I love this duo because you don’t have to choose—it’s effortless, expressive, and lets you follow how you’re feeling that day.
| | If you’ve been following me for a while, you know one of my favorite sources of art inspiration is Amélie du Chalard’s gallery—curated by my dear friend between New York and Paris. Lately, I’ve been especially drawn back to painting—oil, acrylic, and watercolor. I love browsing her selections for inspiration, and every now and then, when a piece really speaks to me, I’ll bring it into my home as part of my personal world.
| | And speaking of painting—there’s something about iridescent, metallic tones that I can’t get enough of right now. These watercolor metallics from Sennelier are absolutely stunning. Mixing them is as beautiful as it is therapeutic, and it’s become one of my favorite quiet rituals.
| | My new home in the country is finally starting to feel like “home,” though there’s still plenty to do. Right now, I’m focused on soft textures and cozy layers—but that doesn’t mean everything has to be beige. Lisa Corti’s textiles are full of life: gorgeous throws, pillows, and fabrics designed in Italy and handcrafted in India. The colors and patterns are bold yet balanced, bringing warmth, brightness, and depth without overwhelming a space.
| | With more time at home, I’ve been soaking up extra moments with my littles. Recently, I started rereading the Harry Potter series to my daughter, Inès, at night—and it’s become such a special ritual I truly look forward to. And if you’re an aesthetic-lover like me, you’ll appreciate that Etsy has beautiful book jackets for the entire collection—minimal, bold, or anything in between, so they really feel at home in your space.
