A softer way to approach the season—and everything inspiring Violette right now. ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏ ͏
Lately, I’ve been working on a formula that’s all about sheer pigment with presence—and I’ll be sharing it very soon. There’s something so alluring to me about that balance… color that feels light, but still brings something unique. I’ve found myself drawn to that idea in other parts of my life, too. And spring feels like the perfect moment to embrace those soft, ethereal layers. Here are a few things keeping me inspired lately.
Avec Amour, Violette | | With a classic smokey eye, really less is more. For a more lived-in approach, I dot Yeux Paint at the center of the lid just above the lash line, then gently blur it across and upward with a brush. I’ll use any remaining pigment along the lower lash line for added dimension—I like to balance this eye look with a fresh pink cheek, here with Bisou Blush in Inès. Et voilà.
| | I’ve been playing a lot with sheer layers lately. I wore this set from The Frankie Shop during a trip to Australia with MECCA—it’s so versatile. Add a blazer (this one from Róhe is amazing), or wear it with a delicate layer underneath for something light and ethereal.
| | I recently discovered the work of New York–based painter Arlina Cai and saw her show Dreamkeeper. Her pieces feel like soft, dreamlike landscapes—layered, intuitive, and deeply personal. They stayed with me… and I hope they inspire you too.
| | These candleholders feel like little sculptures. I love the contrast of their vibrant colors and crystal forms—they catch the light in such a beautiful, unexpected way. Perfect for a table that feels dynamic and alive.
| | I’ve been drawn to statement shells for spring. This one from Anni Lu sits close to the neck on a soft ribbon, which I love—it feels effortless but sophisticated. It also comes with a gold chain for versatility. Or get creative and choose your own ribbon, depending on your mood.
