This may be my most French formula yet. When I think about the evolution of Plume, it has always been about finding that space between softness and presence—but with the eyes, it took me somewhere that felt even more intimate. I wanted something that didn’t feel technical. Something you could feel your way into.

What makes these shades special to me is the color. Each one has a touch of smoke woven in—nothing flat, nothing obvious. It’s what gives the eyes that quiet depth, that subtle tension I’m always searching for. Something that draws you in, but never feels too “done.” And with the shimmer shades, I went very far into the details. I didn’t want sparkle—I wanted light. So we developed our own custom blend of mica pearls, using different sizes to create a dimension that feels alive on the skin. It catches the light in a very soft, nuanced way—almost like it’s part of you, not sitting on top.

This is where Plume took me artistically—into something entirely instinctive—reimagining the smokey eye. You don’t need precision or tools—just your fingers, a simple gesture, and the eyes come into focus. It’s sensual, lived-in, and effortless—like you’ve stepped into an old French film, wearing the makeup and not letting it wear you.
