February is finally here, and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we’re celebrating with our favorite bold hue. Add a little extra "pop" to their driveway with the iconic hot pink woom GO.
Getting your kid out riding in the winter requires a bit more forethought, but it’s entirely doable with the right prep. Take it from our resident winter-riding expert (and woom dad), Charlie LaNoue, who navigates the Michigan frost with his son. Here are his top 4 tips for a cozy ride:
1. Plan out where to ride 📍 Depending on where you live, there may be fewer suitable locations for your child to ride in the winter, taking into account snow, ice, wet leaves, or dim lighting. Plan ahead. For those with a snowy backyard, consider shoveling out a “bike track”.
2. Dress warm where it counts 🧤 Focus on extremities. A balaclava fits perfectly under a helmet and covers the neck, unlike a hat, and our WARM TENS Bike Gloves are a must for tiny fingers.
3. Stay visible 💡 With limited daylight, high-visibility clothing is nice, but lights are non-negotiable. Pair our BEAM Bike Lights with a READY Helmet Light to shine bright.
4. Take a hot drink to-go ☕️ Hot cocoa tastes even better outside, on a chilly day. It will also stay warm in the GLUG Stainless Steel Bottle for hours, making it perfect for a winter outing.
We love seeing how our community keeps the wheels turning all year long. Carly Riordan (@carly) recently shared a heartwarming look at her son Jack’s first two-wheeled victories on his woom GO 3. It’s a perfect example of how the right bike makes learning feel like play, even in the snow. Check out the full video for a dose of winter inspiration.
