Human or Other, Happy Mother’s Day | | We want to say thank you to all the moms out there who continue to show up and amaze. We asked our ambassador, Rachel Strait, to share some thoughts on motherhood and being a pro-athlete, enjoy: “Mother’s Day hits a little different as a professional athlete. I’ve pushed my body to its limits. I’ve raced long days, emptied the tank, and learned what it feels like to be completely spent. As a racer, there's always a moment to recover. A finish line, a reset, a breath before the next effort. Motherhood isn’t like that.
Being a mom is the most rewarding role I’ve ever had, but it’s also the one that never turns off. Even when you’re sick, exhausted, or coming off a 70-mile XC race, your babies still need you. Always.
Motherhood has completely redefined my understanding of what “hard” means. It’s deeper than any climb, longer than any race, and more meaningful than any podium. And somehow, it’s also the most beautiful journey. But the journey hasn't slowed down, we’re still traveling, still chasing races and adventures… just now with little ones in tow. I love that they get to see the world the same way we do. It truly makes every experience even more meaningful. It's something that is so unknown going into the space of parenthood, and I am thrilled the kids love it as much as we do.
At the end of the day, I feel so incredibly lucky to live in both of these worlds—but being a mom will always top any podium I’ve ever been on! Cheers to all the Momma's on Mother’s Day!” | | | | |
